Hi - I'm Kyle Moynihan
I've been a professional SEO consultant for 13+ years. I work with multimillion dollar ecommerce websites, corporate lead gen websites, and everything in between. I help companies understand data, grow website traffic, and increase leads.
I believe there should always be an inherent tension between where you are right now, versus where you want to be in the future. It’s a critical trait for those with a mindset of growth. Luckily, I am blessed with that tension in abundance. Consequently, I spend the vast majority of my waking hours thinking about how to grow and maximize my success as a person, and I apply that same mindset toward the companies with whom I work.
I have a fierce love of data, creative knack for solving puzzles, and profound distaste for inefficiencies. Naturally the world of SEO, paid search, and a/b testing is an effortless fit for my personality – and my passion is tangible! Outside of work my primary hobby is traveling. I visited 14 countries in 2019! In my free time you’ll find me planning my next trip to Europe, jogging, playing guitar (I’m pretty good), practicing piano (I’m pretty bad), and improving my foreign language skills – primarily Spanish and German. I am a habitual “on-again, off-again” vegetarian and I can eat my weight in street tacos.
I love living the city lifestyle and I cohabitate with my increasingly curmudgeonly 14-year old cat, Loa.

Why Hire An Independent Consultant?
To hire me costs less than hiring an agency or a full-time employee. Wait – how is that possible?
Agencies have mouths to feed and bills to pay. Between salaries, generous benefits, expensive leases, advertising costs, and company parties – to maintain consistent profitability for an agency can be a perilous endeavor. Unless, of course, their clients collectively foot the bill – and they do! You’ll almost always pay more to work with an agency as opposed to a more skilled consultant who soared away from the nest. Meanwhile, I’m lean. I have no overhead and therefore I’m not forced to pass along any superfluous costs to you. I won’t charge you extra to support the operational costs of a bloated organization – because I can’t. I have no costs!
Conversely, it is also quite expensive to hire a full-time employee as opposed to an agency. For example, let’s say you hire Jane Doe, who has five years of experience, to internally manage your Google Ads campaigns and to help with your SEO. Jane earns $7,000 per month ($84,000 per year), plus health insurance and other benefits. Meanwhile, despite being drastically more experienced than Jane, I have multiple sources of income (multiple clients), which allows me to undercut Jane’s monthly salary, then subsequently outperform her because … well, I’m really good at this.
The realities here are not particularly pleasant for Jane, nor for agencies, but they certainly work out very well for you and I.
To hire an elite full-time employee requires the wheels of motion to turn for 4 to 8 weeks, and perhaps longer. You will navigate through dozens of interviews, enter a period of negotiation, then patiently await their start date before productivity can begin.

Additionally, as a 1099 independent contractor, I only operate using the more ethical month-to-month model as opposed to 6-month or 12-month contracts. This minimizes the cost, commitment, and “risk” to the employer. Agencies and especially full-time employees have no ability to match this level of flexibility.
Lastly, as a sole proprietor, my high level of accountability and lightning fast communication are two of my most endearing traits. You will never encounter any additional layers of interference while attempting to communicate with me or make requests. I am always available to you whenever needed – including nights and weekends, because I’m not restricted to the 9:00 to 5:00 office model. I pride myself on proactively tackling tasks, tenaciously replying to every request as quickly as possible, and exceeding expectations with borderline obsessive efficiency.
Prior to starting my own business, I’m thankful to have worked as the senior consultant at one of the most reputable agencies in the country.
However, most agencies are plagued by turnover and scalability issues. Consequently, agencies typically force prospective clients to sign long-term contracts, which are essential to their stability, viability, and survival. Additionally, to minimize costs and to achieve scale, agencies typically farm out the vast majority of all work to entry-level and under-skilled employees behind the scenes. Meanwhile the most stable, most experienced, and most articulate senior-level employees direct their efforts toward sales, on-boarding, and retention. The most skilled employees rarely do any “tangible” work themselves, only occasionally intervening to solve the most complex issues.
This is clearly a flawed model for the client – it emphasizes and lubricates the sales process (cha-ching!), but causes frustration as the torch inevitably gets passed from one under-skilled employee to the next. Unsurprisingly, client retention is a persistent problem for most agencies.
Your website and your business deserve better. It’s important to know who you’re working with – and to trust them. When you hire me, you will only work with me – the expert. Also, I will never ask you to sign a long-term contract. Instead, I proudly operate using the more ethical month-to-month model. I do so with confidence, knowing that I will prove my value to you every month, earn my keep, and help your business enhance its profits.
